Cocktail Class-The Perfect Irish Coffee

As we (hopefully) close out the winter, we are going to try and squeeze in one last hot cocktail before the weather really changes. The Irish Coffee of my absolute favorite drinks, and one of the hardest to get right. We are going to tackle the drink piece by piece, ingredient for ingredient, to make sure we get the absolute best version possible in our glass so we can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in style!

Irish Whiskey Buck

2.0 oz Whiskey

.5 oz simple syrup

Juice from half a lemon

2 dashes bitters

Ginger beer

Add whiskey, simple, and lemon to a rocks glass. Top with ice, ginger beer, and stir. Garish with lemon peel. 

The Best Irish Coffee Ever

¾ oz Demerara Sugar Syrup

1.0 oz Whiskey

3.5 oz coffee

Fresh Whipped Cream

Garnish with dusting of nutmeg

Build in 6 oz glass. Add whiskey, syrup, and coffee to glass. Leave one finger’s worth of room in the glass and top with fresh whipped cream. Dust with nutmeg.
