Taking cues from the tradition of serving a lemon with espresso, this roasty whiskey makes a great whiskey sour! The sweet citrus brings out the nutty and chocolatey flavors of the whiskey.
1.5 oz Wigle Roasty Whiskey
0.75 oz lemon juice
0.75 oz maple syrup
1 egg white
Garnish of cocoa powder
Combine first four ingredients into a shaker tin and add ice. Shake vigorously to ensure egg white emulsifies with the rest of the ingredients and develops a healthy froth (one option is to initially shake the first four ingredients without ice, and then give a subsequent shaking with ice). Strain into a glass with fresh ice and garnish with cocoa powder.
