Originally from Colorado, Amber made her way to Pittsburgh to pursue a master’s degree in Food Studies at Chatham University. With a background in Nutrition and Sociology, she has been interested in exploring more connections between food culture, health and society. When she’s not at Wigle or focused on her studies, she is a farm assistant learning about sustainable agriculture at the University’s farm campus. She is also a cheese monger for a local cheese shop. She came to Pittsburgh with a passion for good food and good beer, and since becoming a member of the Wigle team, she has been enthusiastically learning about the world of good whiskey. Married to an ornithologist, she and her husband can often be found birdwatching or exploring all things uniquely Pittsburgh.
